Hello and welcome to my blog. I have been a student of general occultism, Western Mystery Traditions, and Paganism since 2006. I started out with a general interest in shamanism, which wasn’t quite for me, and then moved on to explore spiritual and magic traditions including Hoodoo, Chaos Magic, Modern Traditional Witchcraft, Druidry, and Theurgy.
My primary spiritual practices and beliefs are rooted in Revival Druidry and ecology-based nature spirituality. An ecologically sustainable, mindful, and respectful Druidry is what I aim to develop.
I am a member of the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids (OBOD), the Druidical Order of the Golden Dawn, and the Ancient Order of Druids in America (AODA). I am a Druid and Bard Apprentice within AODA and a Deacon of the Gnostic Celtic Church. I am currently working through Cherry Hill Seminary’s Community Ministry Certificate course as a part of my priest training. I have also studied within Builders of the Adytum (BOTA) and Ordo Aurum Solis.
I am currently pursuing studies in herbalism through Herbal Academy. I have completed the introductory course and am currently working through the Intermediate Herbal Course.
I enjoy being outdoors whether it be at the beach, hiking the many beautiful island trails, or just being out in my garden.
The reason I chose the name Occult Nature is threefold.
- My personal and natural attraction to all things occult, hence my occult nature.
- The topics and interests I discuss here are typically hidden away from my public life, occulting my nature.
- Exploring literal occulted natural places, physically and mentally.
Although this is generally more for my own personal reflections, I hope that others enjoy reading.
